Zhaoyu Jin received his Bachelor's degree in 2013 and Ph.D. in 2017, both from Sichuan University. He then conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin from 2017 to 2021 with Prof. Allen J. Bard. Since 2022, he has been a Professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. His research focuses on scanning electrochemical microscopy techniques and advanced instrumentations for studying electrocatalysis.
He has published over 80 scientific papers in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Catalysis, Nature Communications, PNAS, Accounts of Chemical Research, JACS, Angewandte Chemie, Advanced Materials, Energy & Environmental Science, ACS Nano, ACS Catalysis, and Analytical Chemistry. Some of his research outcomes have been included in the world-class electrochemistry textbook Electrochemical Methods: Fundamentals and Applications, and have been highlighted multiple times by international scientific media including ScienceDaily and ScienceMag. He was listed among the world's top 2% most-cited scientists (2024, 2025) and elected as a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (FIAAM). He also serves as editorial members of SCI journals, including Journal of Analysis and Testing, and Carbon Neutrality, as well as a founding committee member of the Nanoanalysis Committee of the Chinese Society for Analysis and Testing, and as Chair of the Scientific Instrument Subcommittee of the 1st National Conference on Interfacial Science of the Chinese Chemical Society.
